Devendra Jhajharia, a two-time Paralympic gold medalist, has been elected as the new President of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI).

- Accomplished Athlete: Jhajharia is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist in javelin throw (F46 category), having won at the 2004 Athens and 2016 Rio Paralympics.
- Unopposed Election: He was the sole candidate nominated for the PCI president position and secured the role along with all other new office bearers who were also elected unopposed.
- Successor to Deepa Malik: Jhajharia takes over from Deepa Malik, another renowned para-athlete who previously held the President position.
