Siddaramaiah as Karnataka CM and Shivakumar as the only Deputy CM!

Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said that Siddaramaiah has been selected as the new CM of Karnataka. He said that Shivakumar will be the only Deputy CM. He said that DK will continue as PCC chief.

Chief Minister, Deputy CM and Ministers will take oath on May 20th at 12.30 pm. The swearing-in ceremony will be held in the presence of the Congress leadership at Kanthirava Stadium in Bangalore on Saturday. CMs of many states will also attend. 

Voting for the Karnataka assembly polls were held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The state recorded 72.67 per cent voter turnout for the 224-member assembly polls. 135 seats were won by Congress, 66 by BJP and 19 by JD(S).
