Sanjay Arora to join as the new Delhi Police commissioner

• Sanjay Arora, a Tamil Nadu-cadre IPS officer who oversaw the paramilitary ITBP, will assume control of the Delhi Police as Delhi Police commissioner. He is scheduled to retire in 2025.
• Sanjay Arora was named commissioner of the Delhi Police, replacing the previous Delhi Police Commissioner RakeshAsthana, an IPS officer from the Gujarat Cadre who retired after nearly 38 years of service.
