Twitter appointed Manish Maheshwari as India MD
Twitter has appointed Manish Maheshwari as new managing director for the India market effective 29 April 2019.

Based in Delhi, Maheshwari will report to Maya Hari, vice-president and managing director - Asia Pacific, Twitter.

Maheshwari took over from Balaji Krish, who has been leading the Twitter India team in the interim for the past few months.
Vinod Zutshi appointed as special observer for Tripura
Former deputy Election Commissioner Vinod Zutshi has been appointed as special observer for Tripura where the Lok Sabha polls to one of the seats were postponed in view of the law and order situation. Official sources said the Commission has issued orders appointing Zutshi as a special observer for Tripura.
Jaideep Sarkar appointed as India's next High Commissioner to South Africa
Jaideep Sarkar has been appointed as India's next High Commissioner to South Africa.

Sarkar, a 1987-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently serving as India's ambassador in Bhutan.

He served in Indian Missions in Tokyo, Seoul and Bangladesh as well.

The government also appointed Suhel Ajaz Khan, presently serving as India's Deputy Chief of Mission in Saudi Arabia, as next Ambassador to Lebanon.

Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPB) has appointed entrepreneur Sairee Chahal to its board of directors.

Chahal is the founder and CEO of SHEROES, a community platform for women.

PPB, which was incorporated in August 2016, formally began its operations in 2017.

Former Judo Federation of India chief Mukesh Kumar was re-elected as general secretary of the Asian governing body at its ordinary congress at Fujairah in the UAE.

Incumbent Judo Federation of India President Partap Singh Bajwa was elected as Vice President of Judo Union of Asia as well as President of South Asia Judo Federation.
