India's Military Holds Landmark Conference on Jointness and Integration
Parivartan Chintan, a first-of-its-kind Tri-Service conference, convenes today, April 8th, 2024, in New Delhi. This historic gathering aims to propel India's military towards a more collaborative and unified future. Led by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, the day-long discussions will focus on generating fresh ideas and reforms to strengthen Jointness and Integration efforts.
This conference comes at a crucial time as the Indian Armed Forces undergo significant transformations to prepare for emerging threats. A key aspect of this is fostering closer cooperation between the Army, Navy, and Air Force through a revamped structure optimized for multi-domain operations.
The 'Chintan' signifies a major step in this direction. It brings together leaders from all Tri-Service Institutions, the Department of Military Affairs, Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, and all three service branches. By leveraging the diverse perspectives and experiences of officers from various backgrounds, the conference aims to develop actionable strategies to achieve a truly "Joint and Integrated" military force with greater agility.
