- Russia fired 84 missiles on busy Ukrainian cities yesterday, killing 11 people. This was Russia's most widespread air attack since the start of the conflict. Missiles tore into busy intersections, parks and tourist sites in the centre of the capital Kyiv. Explosions were also reported in Lviv, Ternopil and Zhytomyr in western Ukraine, Dnipro and Kremenchuk in central Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia in the south and Kharkiv in the east.
- Ukrainian officials said at least 11 people were killed and scores injured. The missiles targeted power plants, leaving swathes of the country without electricity. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Russian attacks were deliberately timed to kill people, as well as to knock out Ukraine’s power grid.
- US President Joe Biden and G7 leaders will hold a virtual meeting today to discuss their commitment to support Ukraine and hold Russian President Vladimir Putin accountable for Moscow's aggression.
