Joe Biden and Xi Jinping meet on the sidelines of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation

• US President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in San Francisco, United States. In his opening remarks, Xi said planet Earth is big enough for both countries to succeed and one country's success is an opportunity for the other.
• Confrontation has had unbearable consequences for both sides. At a news conference following the summit, Biden said that the talks were some of the most constructive and productive discussions they have ever had. However, at the end of the conference, Biden described Xi as a dictator, whose government functioned totally differently from theirs.
