The proposal to nominate at least two qualified candidates for the Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Program at IMO aligns with the goal of fostering young professionals’ expertise in international cooperation within the maritime industry.
  • The Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 outlines ambitious goals to strengthen India’s global maritime presence. With 43 identified initiatives, key focus areas include establishing a dedicated IMO cell in India, appointing a permanent representative at IMO headquarters in London, implementing the BIMSTEC projects. These initiatives demonstrate India’s commitment to fostering regional cooperation and contributing to the advancement of global maritime standards.
