The officials of TSSPDCL said that the notification for recruitment of 1000 JLM is likely to be given by the end of this November or in the first week of next month.
It is known that a notification was issued for the filling of one thousand JLM posts on May 9 and conducted the written exam on July 17. However, the management of the organization announced on August 25 that the notification was cancelled due to irregularities in the written examination. Meanwhile, after issuing the new notification, the candidates will have to pay the fees and apply again, officials said.
Scheme of Examination for TSSPDCL Junior Linemen
- ITI Electrical Trade: 65 Questions
- General Knowledge: 15 Questions
Total duration will be for 2 hours and total 80 marks will be for 80 questions.

Batteries: primary and secondary, lead acid cells, methods of charging - testing and application of batteries, inverters, battery chargers and maintenance
Magnetism: Magnetic materials and properties - laws of magnetism – electromagnetism, electromagnetic induction
Fundamentals of AC: Simple problems of AC fundamentals, power, power factor, single phase and three phase circuits
Basic Electronics: Electronic components, rectifiers, amplifiers, oscillators and power electronic components
DC Machines: construction, working principle and simple problems on DC generators and motors, speed control and applications of DC motors – windings
Transformers: construction, working principle, basic concepts and simple problems on transformers – windings – auto transformers, power transformers, CT & PT
AC Machines: basic concepts, construction principle and simple problems on three phase and single phase induction motor, universal motor, alternators, synchronous motors and their applications and windings - concept of power electronic drives
Electrical measurements – Different types of AC and DC measuring instruments, Domestic appliances and Illumination concepts - types of electric lamps

No Age Relaxation
The maximum age relaxation of 10 years is not applicable to the posts of Junior Linemen (JLM). TSSPDCL has decided that physical stamina is very essential for junior linemen who climb electric poles and perform duties in extremely hazardous conditions, therefore no relaxation will be given for filling up these posts.
