It’s natural that every human being will eventually die, death is inevitable yet it remains a neglected issue in modern health care. Hospice is a special way of caring for people who’re terminally ill and have no cure options left. Sparsh hospice, located at Khajaguda, Hyderabad is a centre for palliative care whose services are free of cost for terminally ill patients hailing from all sections of the society for whom "treatment to cure" is no longer effective. Students of Dr. Kakarla Subba Rao centre for health care management, Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Hospital Management), Administrative Staff College Of India, had a wonderful visit to their centre, and got to interact with Shri.Shashidhar.K( Centre head) and Smt.Sarada Lingaraju (Hospice administrator) along with professors under the guidance of Dr.Subodh Kandamuthan (programme director) to create awareness and sensitization on importance of dignified death, the right of every human being. The visit also highlighted the importance to create compassionate communities in present day life.
