CBSE Class 12 Online Application for Photocopy of Answer Book 2025 Begins Today: Apply at cbse.gov.in

Students must submit their applications within the specified deadline and pay the required fee. The photocopy of the answer sheet will be shared with students through their registered account or email. This process is part of CBSE’s effort to maintain a fair and transparent evaluation system.

Important: Students can apply for re-evaluation only after obtaining the photocopy of their answer sheet.
Two-Stage Process for CBSE Class 12 Result Verification 2025:
Stage 1: Request for Scanned Answer Sheets
Students can first apply to receive the scanned copies of their evaluated answer books for their desired subjects.
Stage 2: Apply for Evaluation Services
After reviewing the scanned copies, students can proceed with one of the following options:
- (a) Verification of Marks
- (b) Re-evaluation of Specific Questions
- (c) Both Verification and Re-evaluation
Objective Behind the Update This updated system aims to:
- Provide greater transparency in the result declaration process.
- Help students understand their performance and evaluation better.
- Allow students to challenge discrepancies if any, in a structured manner.
- Students who are not satisfied with their evaluation can use this facility confidently and are advised to read the official guidelines carefully before applying, to avoid any confusion or errors.
- CBSE Re-evaluation & Verification 2025 – General Guidelines Online Process Only: All requests and payments for scanned copies, mark verification, and re-evaluation must be done online only.
- Apply Within the Given Schedule: Applications will be accepted only within the official schedule announced by CBSE. Late applications or offline submissions will be rejected.
- Online Payment Methods Only: Processing fees must be paid through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking. No other modes like DD, money order, cheque, or cash are accepted.
- Follow CBSE Instructions Carefully: Any application not submitted as per CBSE instructions will be rejected without any correspondence.
- One Application per Step: Each candidate is allowed only one application per step (scanned copy, verification, or re-evaluation). Once submitted, no second chance will be given. Students must submit an online undertaking before applying.
- No Liability for Delays: CBSE will not be responsible for any delay or issues caused due to re-evaluation, even if it affects college admissions or further processes.
- Even One Mark Matters: A change (increase or decrease) of even one mark will be updated and reflected in the final result.
- Revised Mark Sheet: If there is any change in marks (whether increased or decreased), the student must return the old mark sheet and will receive a new one.
- Non-refundable Fees: The processing fee for any stage (scanned copy, verification, re-evaluation) is non-refundable.
Step 1: Application for Scanned Copy of Evaluated Answer Book
- The first step in the process is to request a scanned copy of the evaluated answer sheet. This enables students to understand how their answers were evaluated and how marks were awarded.
- The application must be submitted personally by the student through the official online portal.
- Applications submitted through third parties (e.g., cyber cafes) are not accepted.
- Students are responsible for ensuring proper submission.
- After applying, students will receive a scanned copy of the answer book in their login account.
- All details about the examiner or evaluator will be hidden for confidentiality.
- Scanned copies will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Students applying on the first day will be given priority.
- Students can apply for one or multiple subjects at once, but the application must be submitted in a single attempt.
- If a student finds any discrepancy and wants to challenge the awarded marks, they must apply for the next step—verification and/or re-evaluation—as per the schedule.
Eligibility for Further Steps
Any student who receives the scanned copy of their answer book will be eligible to apply for:
- Verification of marks
- Re-evaluation
- Both (as per the student’s choice)
Step 2: Verification of Marks
a) Eligibility:
- Only students who have applied for the scanned copy of their evaluated answer book are allowed to apply for verification of marks.
b) Important:
- After getting the scanned answer sheet, students must carefully check for any errors in evaluation.
- Detailed guidance on how to check and raise concerns is provided in Annexure-II(A).
- Students are advised to read it thoroughly before applying.
c) How You'll Get the Verification Result:
- The result of your verification will be available on your CBSE login account.
- No individual communication will be sent.
- If your marks have changed (either increased or decreased), a notification will be uploaded on your login account.
- Once re-evaluation is complete, the final updated marks (increase or decrease) will also be informed through your login.
- You should regularly check the CBSE website to stay updated on the status of your verification request.
Note: Only candidates who applied for the scanned copy of their answer book(s) are allowed to apply for verification of marks.
Step 3: Re-evaluation of Evaluated Answer Book(s)
a) Eligibility:
Only students who have applied for the scanned copy of their answer sheet are eligible to request re-evaluation of specific questions.
b) Application Fee:
₹100 per question is charged for re-evaluation.
c) How to Apply:
Students must check the marking scheme for the subject (available with the question paper on the CBSE website).
Based on this, they can submit a re-evaluation request for specific questions with proper reasoning.
d) Result Communication:
Re-evaluation results will be posted on the CBSE website.
A formal message will also come from the Regional Office, CBSE.
e) Even 1 Mark Counts:
An increase or decrease of even 1 mark will be taken seriously and updated accordingly.
f) Final Decision:
No changes can be requested once re-evaluation is done.
The result is final and binding. No appeals or reviews will be accepted.
