AP Govt. Relaxes Age Limit for APPSC Uniform Posts!

The state government has taken a decision to increase the maximum age limit by two years for the uniform posts that are directly recruited through the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission and other recruitment agencies.

The orders issued by the AP govt. for raising the age limit by two years in the past will expire in September. In this regard, the Chief Secretary to the Government, Dr. Samir Sharma, issued an order on September 29, increasing the maximum age limit for two years. As per order, two years increase in age limit will be applicable till the end of September 2023.

This increase in age limit will be applicable for direct recruitment of uniform posts in Forest, Excise, Fire, Jails and Transport Departments. At present, the maximum age limit for OCs for filling uniform posts is 24 years, now it will be increased to 26 years. While for BC, SC, ST, age limit is 26 years, it will be increased by another five years. That means the maximum age limit for them will be up to 31 years.
