AP TET Results on Hold; DSC-2024 Exams Postponed: Election Commission's Directive

The Education Department has officially announced this decision, stating that a revised schedule will be disclosed following clearance from the Election Commission.
AP TET 2024 Results on Hold and DSC postponed

It is known that the DSC had issued notifications for 6100 teacher posts on February 7th.

Simultaneously, the results of the TET exam 2024 will be announced after the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, with a possibility of rescheduling the DSC exams accordingly. Elections have impeded the release of both AP DSC and TET exam results. While the TET exam 2024 results are pending, the DSC 2024 exams were scheduled to take place from March 30th to April 30th. However, they are now postponed.

Election Commission Directive Impacts AP DSC-2024 Exams and AP Tet-2024 Results

In light of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in AP, the Election Commission has postponed the AP DSC-2024 exams, indicating that they will be conducted after the elections. Additionally, the EC has postponed the release of AP TET-2024 results, which will be announced post-elections.

Although web options for exam centers and hall ticket downloads were slated to commence from March 20th and March 25th respectively, delays in obtaining permission from the Election Commission have necessitated the postponement of exams. The new schedule will be announced only upon approval from the Election Commission.

The selection of exam centers will also align with the new schedule. The Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in AP are scheduled for May 13th. AP Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena has confirmed receiving over a thousand complaints requesting the postponement of DSC examinations until after the elections. These complaints have been forwarded to the Central Election Commission. The Education Department cited the lack of clarity from the Election Commission as the reason for postponing the exams.

This is not the first time the exam schedule has been altered. Previously, the High Court ordered a brief gap between the TET and DSC examinations, prompting a rescheduling. The postponement has occurred once again due to the election code.
