The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IITT) is introducing a Post-Graduate Program in Public Policy for candidates interested in policy analysis and contemporary governance. The two-year Master of Public
Policy (MPP) program aims to provide an interdisciplinary outlook to prospective students and professionals so that they can contribute effectively to policy processes in India and beyond. It offers three streams of specializations namely Science & Management of Sustainability, Data Science, and Sustainability & Engineering. The program enables students to work closely with both public as well as private sector agencies involved in policy-making. It focuses on imparting both qualitative and quantitative skills to its students while also developing their understanding of the social and institutional processes that inform administrative decision- making and political practices.

The MPP program is currently accepting applications. Interested students may complete the application process before April 18, 2022. After the MPP programs of IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi, this is the third post-graduate program in Public Policy that is being offered by any of
the IITs. Candidates with an undergraduate degree in any field are welcome to apply for the program. There are two tracks of admissions for Indian nationals. Students with a GATE score can apply through Track I. Candidates accepted through this track are eligible for financial assistance in the form of Half-Time Teaching Assistantship (HTTA).
