APPSC Group 1 Ranker: D Keerthi's Success Journey To Become Deputy Collector

APPSC has released Group-1 (2018) results after overcoming many challenges. The long wait of four years is over. The hopes of the candidates waiting for the Group-1 results have come true. Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has finally released the final selection list of Group-1 (2018).

It is known that a total of 167 posts (including 2 sports quota) were notified in December 2018. Let us check the profile and success story of Datla Keerthi, who got a good rank in Group-1 and was selected for the Deputy Collector job.

Family Background:
Kirti's hometown is Rajulanagar in Makivaripalem mandal of Visakhapatnam district. Her mother Datla Nirmala works as HM of Chodapalli Primary School in Visakhapatnam District. Father Jagannatha Raju worked as School Assistant (Science) in ZPH.

Education:
She studied up to class 10 in ZDP school in her native village. Later she completed her inter and degree (B.Sc) in Vizianagaram. She did M.Sc (Botany) from Andhra University.

Many people give high priority to Civil services in their job attempts. Her aim was also to succeed in UPSC civils and become an IAS. She though that she could become an IAS on promotion after being selected as an RDO. She worked tirelessly to achieve that goal and finally succeeded. Datla Kirti has proved that if you fight hard you can win. Vizianagaram District BC Welfare Officer Datla Keerthi succeded in getting the post of Deputy Collector in APPSC Group-1 2018.

She secured 8th rank in state level and first rank in the north coastal region. She has been working as District BC Welfare Officer for the past three years. She achieved this target in the APPSC group 1 second attempt.

Even as a teacher..
She was also selected as School Assistant in 2008 DSC. She worked as a teacher for eight years. While working on one side, she studied for Group-1 on the other side. She used to indulge in studies immediately after school.

Being married, on the other hand, family responsibilities were handled efficiently. In the 2011 APPSC notification, she wrote Group-1 and succeeded, but she could not achieve the goal of becoming an RDO. In 2018 she was selected as District BC Welfare Officer. As a result, she resigned from the teaching profession and took up the duties of District BC Welfare Department Officer. She used to practice during holidays and free time for Group 1 exam.
