2024 Focus: Climate Change and Water Concerns:
This year's theme places a special emphasis on the interconnected issues of climate change and water. Rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events all pose significant threats to global water resources.

India Meteorological Department (IMD): Established in 1875 with headquarters in New Delhi, the IMD plays a crucial role in weather forecasting and monitoring for India.
