CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarships 2024: Check Last Date and Eligibility for Fresh and Renewal

CBSE has issued notification to apply for the below merit scholarships.

1. Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2024 Scheme - Online applications for CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child who has passed Class X in 2024 from CBSE and studying in Class XI from the CBSE affiliated Schools.
2. Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2023 (Renewal 2024) Scheme - Online applications for renewal of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship X awarded in 2023.  The details and eligibility conditions along with the online application form is available on Board’s website i.e. www.cbse.gov.in at Scholarship Link.

The last date for submission of online applications is 23rd December 2024.   

Eligibility Criteria for Fresh Applications (AY 2023-24):

1. Single Girl Child: The applicant must have passed Class X from a school affiliated with CBSE and must be pursuing her education in Classes XI and XII in a CBSE-affiliated school.

2. Academic Performance: The student must be the only child of her parents and must have scored 70% or more marks (in the first five subjects) in Class X to be eligible for the scholarship.

3. Tuition Fee Limit:

   • The monthly tuition fee should not exceed ₹2,500/- in Class X.
   • The tuition fee for Classes XI and XII should not exceed ₹3,000/- per month.

4. Renewal of Scholarship:

   • The scholarship is renewable for one year, subject to the successful completion of Class XI with 70% or more marks and promotion to Class XII.

5. Nationality: The scholarship is open to Indian nationals only.

6. NRI Applicants: Eligible NRI students can apply. For NRIs, the maximum monthly tuition fee has been set at ₹6,000/-.

7. Additional Benefits: Students availing of this scholarship can also benefit from any other concessions provided by the school they are attending.

Eligibility Criteria for Renewal of Application:

1. Single Girl Child: The applicant must have passed Class X in 2023 from a CBSE-affiliated school and must be continuing her education in Classes XI and XII in a CBSE-affiliated school.

2. Renewal Applicants: Only students who have already received the Scholarship for SGC-2023 are eligible for renewal.

3. The monthly tuition fee should not exceed ₹1,500/- for Class X, with an additional 10% enhancement permitted for Classes XI and XII.

4. The scholarship will be renewed annually upon the successful completion of Class XI, provided the student has scored 50% or more marks and has been promoted to Class XII.

5. The scholarship is available exclusively to Indian nationals.

6. NRI applicants from the Board are also eligible for the scholarship. For such candidates, the maximum tuition fee has been set at ₹6,000/- per month.

7. Under this scheme, scholars can also avail themselves of other concessions offered by the school in which they are studying.
