Government Jobs with CA, CS, CMA courses with UGC’s latest decision

With the latest decision of UGC, CA, CS, CMA candidates will also be eligible for the posts to be filled with PG qualification in government departments.
Giving PG status to CA, CS, CMA graduates, will have the opportunity to compete for the posts of Specialist Cadre Officer to replace PG qualification in RBI and other banks, especially in the banking sector. Similarly, in Asian Development Bank, World Bank Regional Centers, UNO affiliates, they can also apply for posts with PG level qualification.

Can enter the teaching profession
Giving PG status to CA, CS, CMA graduates give them the opportunity to attend UGC NET. As a result, they can get into teaching profession in universities and other academic institutes. They are eligible for applying PhDs. This will allow them to earn more than Rs. 60,000 per month according to the UGC scale.

Fellow programs in IIMs
CA, CS, CMA candidates with PG status are eligible for admission in Fellow Programs in prestigious IIMs Institute of Management. In fact, all the IIMs in the country are already offering CA, CS and CMA passes in terms of admissions in PG programs. They are also eligible to attend CAT. With the latest decision, apart from PG programs, there will also be an opportunity to get admission in Fellow programs taught at the level. Experts say the matter is yet to be clarified by the concerned authorities.

102 Universities recognized CA, CS courses as PG
Already 102 universities in the country recognized CA and CS courses as PG level courses. They are eligible for admission to the PhD courses they offer. Similarly, more than one hundred academic institutes, six IIMs and two IITs at the national level recognize CA and CS courses, equivalent to PG and offering admission in PhD courses. With the latest decision, all the universities in the country will have to recognize these as equivalent to PG courses. Experts say that CA and CS candidates canenroll in PhD.

The administrative institutes of CA, CS and CMA courses are constantly updating their courses. For everyone from freshers to practicing CAs, Orientation programs are conducted on the latest changes in the industry. Similarly, steps are being taken to ensure that students have skills in areas such as data analytics and datascience, which have gained prominence in recent times. Experts opine that the PG status has been given by UGC to CA, CS and CMA courses due to the industry-ready training of students.

Purpose
UGC's latest decision will benefit lakhs of students pursuing these three e-commerce and professional courses in terms of higher education and employment. About 25,000 to 30,000 people attend the CA final exam. The number of CS and CMA students is almost the same. Although the pass percentage is a bit low, students who once failed can pass the exams. Overall, the UGC's latest decision is expected to give more impetus to CA, CS and CMA graduates academically and career-wise.
