AP CM Shri YS Jagan has given green signal for the issuance of notification regarding the filling up of Group-1 and Group-2 posts.
The officials said that the process of filling up these posts is actively going on as per the orders of the CM. The details of vacancies have been submitted by various departments of the government. The necessary exercise for issuing the notification is in the final stage.

More than 100 posts in Group-1 services and more than 900 posts in Group-2 services will be filled. The CM ordered to issue a notification in this regard as soon as possible. The Chief Minister ordered to focus on the conduct of examinations, the declaration of results etc.
It is known that APPSC has released new syllabus for Group-2 exmas 2023. There is a possibility to release notification soon for over 1000 group-2 posts. According to this new syllabus, the candidates will be selected through a two-stage written test for a total of 450 marks.
As per Revised Syllabus & Exam Pattern, screening test is conducted for 150 marks from General Studies & Mental Ability only. General Studies is excluded from Mains examination. It will have two papers of 150 marks each instead of three in the existing scheme.
APPSC Group-2 Prelims 2023 Exam Pattern:
- Ancient, Medieval and Modern History: 30 marks
- Geography 30 marks
- Indian Society 30 marks
- Current Affairs 30 marks
- Mental Ability 30 marks
- Total 150 marks
