These measures aim to address challenges and improve intermediate 2025 pass percentages, particularly in government colleges, where results have been consistently low in recent years.

Current Situation and Goals

  • The pass percentage for Intermediate first-year exams in 2023 was only 40%, and over the last three years, government colleges have averaged just 45% pass rates.
  • The board has emphasized the need for focused efforts to encourage students and enhance their performance in the upcoming exams.

  1. Monitor Attendance Regularly:

    • Teachers and principals must ensure that students maintain at least 90% attendance in colleges.
    • Absenteeism was a major issue in the past; strict attention is needed to prevent it.
  2. Conduct Regular Revision Tests:

    • Weekly revision tests should be held to identify students’ weaknesses and help them improve.
  3. Special Classes for Backward Students:

    • Extra classes should be organized for struggling students, offering personalized guidance and addressing their academic challenges.
  4. Encourage Parental Involvement:

    • Principals should meet with parents of irregular students and discuss their child’s progress and attendance issues.
  5. Limit Teacher Absences:

    • Teachers should avoid taking leave unless absolutely necessary, and any absences must be approved by board authorities.
  6. Counseling for Students:

    • Provide counseling sessions to help students manage stress and stay motivated during preparation.
  7. Focus on Practical Exams:

    • In addition to theory, special classes should be conducted for practical subjects to ensure students understand the concepts thoroughly.
  8. Physical and Mental Wellness:

    • Start special classes with light exercises or wellness activities to improve students’ focus and energy levels.

Special Emphasis for Parents

  • Parents must actively monitor their child’s preparation and support them during this critical period.
  • The board has advised parents to cooperate with colleges and attend meetings to stay informed about their child’s academic progress.

Exam Fee Extension

In addition to these measures, the board has extended the exam fee submission deadline for Intermediate exams in 2025, providing students with additional time to complete the process.
