B Tech Admission 2021 @ CIT Kokrajhar

Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar invites applications for admission to four year B Tech Program of study as Direct Entry and B Tech Lateral Entry in different branches of engineering for the academic session 2021 through the CIT Degree Entrance Examination (CITDEE 2021) and CIT Lateral Entry Examination CITLET 2021.

Programs Offered:

• B Tech(Direct Entry-4 years) in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Food Engineering and Technology and Civil Engineering.
• B Tech (Vertical/Lateral Entry-3 years) in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering,Instrumentation Engineering, Food Engineering and Technology and Civil Engineering.

Eligibility:

• Direct Entry - 10+2 (Science) with 50% of marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects (5% relaxation for ST/SC/PWD candidates).
• Vertical Entry - Diploma in the concerned branch of Engineering/Technology from CIT with overall 65% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PWD).
• Lateral Entry - Diploma in AICTE recognized related branch of Engineering /Technology with overall 60% marks or equivalent CGPA or B Sc (with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA (5% relaxation for ST/SC/PWD candidates).

Age Limit:

• Direct Entry - Candidates must not be above 21 years, or below 17 years of age as on 1st August of the current academic year. The upper age limit is relaxed to 3 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
• Lateral Entry - Candidates must not be above 40 years of age as on 01st August 2021 (45 years for SC/ST/PWD and 43 years for OBC and female candidates).

Selection Procedure:

• Direct Entry - Candidates seeking admission to B Tech through Direct Entry Scheme must qualify either Central Institute of Technology Bachelor of Technology Entrance Examination (CITBTEE)-2021 conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or JEE (Mains) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). 60% of intake is allotted for CITBTEE-2021 and rest of the seats are allotted for JEE (Mains) qualified candidates.
• Vertical Entry - The Vertical Entry Scheme is offered only for meritorious students who passed Diploma from CIT Kokrajhar and they are selected based on their performance in the Diploma Exams.
• Lateral Entry - For Lateral Entry Scheme, the candidates must qualify the Central Institute of Technology BTECH Lateral Entry Test (CITBLET)-2021 – conducted by CIT Kokrajhar.
