IIT Delhi and OUAT Sign MoU for Research and Education

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology for the purpose of research and education collaboration.
The objective of the collaboration is to quality manpower and level up the technologies in the agricultural research field along with education to improve the life quality of the rural communities by addressing the challenges faced by them.
IIT Delhi and OUAT will extensively work in the field of biotechnology, nanotechnology, geospatial technology, precision farming, sensor application in agriculture and other aspects related to agriculture resulting in the progeneration of rural livelihood opportunities.
According to the director of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of OUAT HrushikeshPatro, the MoU will benefit both the faculties and students of both organisations. They can use laboratories of both IIT Delhi and OUAT for their research work. He also said that this agreement will not only resolve the problems of the farmers but there will also be research projects which will be jointly operated by these two institutions that are of common interest to them. IIT Delhi and OUAT Vice-Chancellors, V Ramgopal Rao and Pawan Kumar Agrawal signed the MoU.
