Indian Costal Guard Navik (General Duty) & Yantrik Recruitment 2024 - Qualifications: 

  • Navik (General Duty): Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • Yantrik: Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). OR Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Indian Costal Guard Navik (General Duty) & Yantrik Recruitment 2024 - Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years. Candidates should be born between 01 Mar 2003 to 28 Feb 2007 (both dates inclusive) applying for post of Navik (GD) and Yantrik.

Indian Costal Guard Navik (General Duty) & Yantrik Recruitment 2024 - Important Dates:

  • Opening date of online registration: June 13, 2024 
  • Closing date of online registration: July 03, 2024 

The Indian Coast Guard Selection Process for Navik (DB & GD) can be summarized in four stages:

Stage 1: Written Examination

  • This is a computer-based online exam common to both Navik (Domestic Branch) and Navik (General Duty). You will need to qualify for this stage to proceed further.

Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test and Medicals

  • Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for this stage.
  •  It involves a physical fitness test (PFT) that you need to pass.
  • There will also be document verification to ensure all submitted documents are in order.
  • You will undergo an initial medical examination at this stage.

Stage 3: Merit List and Final Medicals

  • Based on your performance in Stages 1 and 2, an all-India merit list will be prepared.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be issued an e-admit card for Stage 3, which involves final medicals at INS Chilka.
  • The number of candidates called for this stage will depend on the available vacancies and the ratio decided by the Indian Coast Guard.

Stage 4: Provisional Shortlisting for Training

  • This stage is for candidates who clear the final medicals at INS Chilka and remain on the merit list as per the available vacancies.
  • These candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for training at INS Chilka.
  • Remember, clearing all these stages is mandatory for recruitment into the Indian Coast Guard as a Navik (DB or GD).
