South Korea's "Artificial Sun" Achieves Record-Breaking Temperatures!

Scientists in South Korea have made a significant breakthrough in nuclear fusion research! Their "artificial sun" – the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) device – has achieved a new world record.
Record-Breaking Heat: During tests conducted between December 2023 and February 2024, KSTAR successfully sustained plasma temperatures of a staggering 100 million degrees Celsius for a record-breaking 48 seconds.
Seven Times Hotter Than the Sun: This incredible temperature is a scorching seven times hotter than the core of the Sun, which clocks in at around 15 million degrees Celsius.
