India’s Mars Orbiter has run out of propellant and its battery is drained beyond the safe limit.
India’s maiden mission to Mars "Mangalyaan" has come to an end. The Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) has, reportedly, ran out of fuel. As per ISRO, India's Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) spacecraft, which was designed to last for six months when launched on November 5, 2013, has lost communication with the ground stations, bringing an end to its life after eight long years.
Mission is put at Rs 450 crore, which is one-fifth of the money spent by the US and European space agencies. India has created global history by becoming the first Asian nation to reach the Mars orbit in a space mission.
