- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully completed the flight acceptance hot test for the CE-20 cryogenic engine, which will power the LVM3 launch vehicle’s Cryogenic Upper Stage for the upcoming Chandrayaan-3 mission. The test was carried out at the ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, and all the propulsion parameters during the test were found to be satisfactory.
- The cryogenic rocket engine uses cryogenic rocket fuel and an oxidiser. Cryogenic means the process or product requires very low temperatures. It will need deep freezing points to operate. The Ce-20 cryogenic engine was produced by HAL and designed by ISRO. It is a liquid-fuel engine.
