Indian Oil: 1000 EV Charging stations installed

- On February 18, 2022, diversified energy major Indian Oil announced that, it has installed more than 1,000 electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) in India.
- Indian Oil have achieved the first of many milestones in enabling EV revolution in India, with successful deployment of more than 1,000 EV charging points.
- Indian Oil is all set to provide EV charging facilities at 10,000 fuel stations in upcoming three years. This will provide confidence to customers for an uninterrupted drive and to automobile manufacturers in enhancing production of electric vehicles.
- National Mission on Transformative Mobility and Battery Storage was launched with the objective of promoting clean, shared, connected, sustainable and holistic mobility initiatives. It is valid for 5 years, until 2024. The “National Mission on Transformative Mobility and Battery Storage” with an “Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee” is chaired by CEO of NITI Aayog. It recommends and drive the strategies for Phased manufacturing programmes and transformative mobility for Electric Vehicles, EV Components and Batteries. The Mission coordinates with key stakeholders in Ministries or Departments and states for integrating several initiatives in transforming mobility in India.
