Fourth edition of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Startup Forum held in New Delhi

The 4th edition of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Startup Forum, held on March 19, 2024, in New Delhi, brought together stakeholders from across SCO member states. Over 15 SCO startups showcased their products and services, providing networking and learning opportunities.
Special Working Group on Startups and Innovation (SWG): Established at the 2022 SCO Heads of State Summit.
India will host the second meeting of the SWG in November 2024 and the SCO Startup Forum 5.0 in January 2025.

Previous SCO Startup Initiatives by India:

SCO Startup Forum 1.0 (2020): Laid the foundation for multilateral cooperation among SCO startups.
SCO Startup Forum 2.0 (2021): Held virtually, it launched the SCO Startup Hub, a central point of contact for the SCO startup ecosystem.
Focused Mentorship Program (2022): Provided over 100 hours of virtual mentorship to nominated SCO startups.
SCO Startup Forum 3.0 (2023): First-ever physical forum, featuring a workshop on developing startup ecosystems and an incubator visit.
1st Meeting of the SWG (2023): Focused on "Growing from Roots" and collaboration in agriculture and animal husbandry.

World Forestry Day

It is celebrated annually on March 21st, and in 2024. Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, this day aims to raise awareness about the importance of forests and promote their conservation and sustainable management.
The theme for World Forestry Day 2024 is "Forests and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World." This theme emphasizes the significant role of innovation and technology in safeguarding our forests. From cutting-edge systems for monitoring deforestation to the adoption of sustainable forestry practices, innovation offers solutions to the challenges facing our forests.
