BAFTA Awards for 2023 announced; Austin Butler bags Best Actor and Cate Blanchett Best Actress awards

• The 76th British Academy Film Awards, BAFTA Awards, were announced at an event held in London’s Royal Festival Hall last evening.
• ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’, a German anti-war drama which is a screen adaptation of the 1928 novel by Erich Maria Remarque, won a maximum of seven awards, including Best Film and Director.
• ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ and ‘Elvis’ both movies won four BAFTA awards.
• Austin Butler took home the Best Leading Actor Award for his portrayal of Elvis, and Cate Blanchett won the Best Leading Actress Award for her mesmerizing performance in TÁR.
