FDDI Hyderabad Launches DESIGN SYNC 2025 and Signs Landmark MoU with NID Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, April 21, 2025 — The Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Hyderabad, a premier institute under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, proudly announces the launch of its flagship academic fest, “DESIGN SYNC 2025”,a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, and innovation scheduled from April 21–25, 2025.
The week-long event brings together a dynamic blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design practices through thematic days hosted by various departments, including Fashion Design, Retail and Merchandise, Footwear Design, and Leather Goods & Accessories. Highlights include:
Seminars on Emerging Technologies such as the impact of AI on handloom and design futures
Live Artisan Demonstrations featuring Batik dyeing, Banana fiber weaving, Kolhapurichappal making, and Etikoppaka toys
Entrepreneurial Events like Business Blitz and Vision to Ventures
Design Hackathon and E-Bazaar, promoting innovation and market access for local artisans
Adding to the excitement, FDDI Hyderabad has entered into a strategic partnership with the National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID AP) through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
