Among various corporations, the BC Corporation recorded the highest number of applications, with nearly 8 lakh youth applying for support. The primary objective of this youth self-employment scheme in Telangana is to provide job opportunities through self-sustained businesses. The government has earmarked ₹6,000 crore under this scheme for the financial year 2025–26, targeting assistance to nearly 4 lakh beneficiaries.
Applications for the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme were accepted from March 17, 2025, to April 14, 2025, until 11:59 PM. Officials reported that a total of 16,23,764 applications were received within this period.
Category-Wise Application Breakup
Applications under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme were classified into four financial categories based on the requested loan amount:
- Category 1 (Up to ₹50,000): 39,401 applications
- Category 2 (₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000): 93,233 applications
- Category 3 (₹1,00,000 to ₹2,00,000): 2,49,434 applications
- Category 4 (₹2,00,000 to ₹4,00,000): 12,41,696 applications
Notably, about 75% of applicants opted for Category 4, seeking higher financial support under the scheme.
Corporation-Wise Application Statistics
Here’s the corporation-wise breakdown of Rajiv Yuva Vikasam applications:
- SC Corporation: 3,92,951 applications
- ST Corporation: 1,83,494 applications
- BC Corporation: 8,01,008 applications
- EBC Corporation: 37,414 applications
- Minority Corporation: 2,04,202 applications
- Christian Corporation: 4,695 applications
All submitted applications will be verified at the Mandal-level committees, and an eligible beneficiaries list will be prepared.
Through Rajiv Yuva Vikasam 2025, the Telangana government aims to empower unemployed youth with new entrepreneurial opportunities, thereby contributing significantly to the state's socio-economic development.
