• In Officer/ Supervisory cadre: 1 year
• In Clerical Cadre: 3 years

Selection will be based on a two-tier process:

Written Examination: An online examination covering the following subjects:

Interview: For shortlisted candidates based on written exam performance.

CBI Junior Management Grade Scale I Recruitment 2025 - Written Examination Weightage:

The indicative weightage for the Written Exam is 70%.

Qualifying Marks:

• General: 50%
• SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 45%

Interview:
Maximum marks in the interview are 100.

Qualifying Marks:

• General: 50%
• SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 45%
   

Merit List:

• Merit lists will be drawn Zone-wise and Category-wise based on the combined scores of the Online Test and Interview.
• Approximately four times the number of vacancies per Zone and Category (subject to availability of qualified candidates) will be shortlisted for the interview stage.

Local Language Proficiency:
Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and understanding one of the specified local languages of the applied Zone.

Local Language Test: 

• A mandatory test will be conducted for provisionally selected candidates (after the written exam and interview).
• Candidates who fail this test will not be offered employment.
• Candidates with 10th or 12th standard mark sheets/certificates demonstrating the study of the specified local language of the applied Zone as a subject are exempt from this test.
