AP Inter Exams: Internal Marks System Proposed for Intermediate Students

The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Education Board is exploring significant reforms to its examination system. Check below the changes proposed regarding Internal Marks.

The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Education Board has prepared proposals to introduce an internal marks system for intermediate students in the state. The board has also decided to align the intermediate syllabus and examination pattern entirely with the CBSE model.

AP Inter Internal Marks

• 20% internal marks will be allocated for arts groups,
• while science groups will have 30% internal marks through practicals.

Additionally, there is consideration to conduct only internal exams for inter first-year students, eliminating public exams for the first year. Suggestions and feedback from education experts, parents, teachers, and students are being collected to make a final decision.

The AP Intermediate exams will commence on 1st March 2025 and conclude on 20th March 2025. Below is the detailed schedule for both years:

1.Ethics and Human Values Examination
The Ethics and Human Values Examination is scheduled for February 1, 2025 Saturday) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

2.Environmental Education Examination
The Environmental Education Examination will take place on February 3, 2025 (Monday) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

3.Practical Examinations (General Courses)
The Practical Examinations for General Courses will be held from February 10–20, 2025, with exam timings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily, including Sundays.

4.Practical Examinations (Vocational Courses)
The Practical Examinations for Vocational Courses will take place from February 5–20, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily, including Sundays.

5.Samagra Shiksha Vocational Trade Examination (NSQF Level-4)
The Samagra Shiksha Vocational Trade Examination (NSQF Level-4) is scheduled for February 22, 2025 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
