NEET UG AP 2024 Counselling Dates Announced: Check Documents Required

The counselling process for admissions into MBBS, BDS, and other UG medical courses will commence from the 14th of this month. Accordingly, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has already released the provisional schedule for the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling.

Meanwhile, Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences is making arrangements to conduct state-level NEET UG 2024 counselling. Experts are advising students who have qualified for NEET UG-2024 to be prepared with the necessary certificates for the counselling process.

All India Quota NEET UG Counselling

As part of the NEET UG counselling, the initial phase will involve filling 15% of seats in government medical colleges, central universities, and national institutions like AIIMS and JIPMER under the All India Quota (AIQ). The MCC, under the Directorate General of Health Services, will conduct the AIQ counselling. Interested students must apply to participate in this process. Students from any state across the country can secure seats under AIQ.

NEET UG AP State Quota Counselling Process

After the first phase of AIQ counselling, state-level counselling will be conducted by Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences. In the state, there are 16 government, 16 private, and two minority medical colleges, along with Sri Padmavathi Women's Medical College. 15% of seats in government medical colleges are filled through AIQ, and the remaining 85% of seats are filled at the state level.

In total, there are 6,209 MBBS seats in all types of colleges across the state. 460 MBBS seats in government and Padmavathi medical colleges are filled through AIQ. Separate counselling will be conducted for Convener, B, and C categories. A merit list based on the NEET All India Rank will be released for students who apply for the state quota. Seat allocation will be done based on this merit list.

Both AIQ and state-level counselling will be conducted entirely online. The counselling process, including applying for counselling, allocation of state-level ranks, registering options for desired colleges, and seat allocation, will be done online. NEET AP State Merit List Released

Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences released the details of the state students who qualified for NEET UG-2024 on Friday, as received from the Director General of Health Services (DGHS). A total of 43,788 students have qualified.

K. Sandeep Chowdary secured the first position with a score of 715, ranking 44th nationally. Gattu Bhanu Teja Sai (50), P. Pavan Kumar Reddy (81), and V. Mukesh Chowdary (150) followed in the subsequent ranks with the same score. Overall, 61 students from the state scored above 700, and 2,349 students scored above 600. The university clarified to parents and students that this list should not be considered a merit list.
