All about the tallest bronze statue of Ambedkar in the country!

On the occasion of Ambedkar's 125th birth anniversary, CM KCR laid the foundation stone for the construction of a huge statue of Ambedkar on April 14, 2016. The state government has sanctioned Rs.146.50 crore for the statue and other arrangements.

• Surrounding Greenery: 2.93 Acres
• Paved Area : 1.37 Acres Surrounding
• Developed Area: 1.23 Acres 
• Common Parking: 4.82 Acres  
• Height of statue: 125 feet 
• Total Cost: Rs. 146.50 crores.
• Ambedkar's memorial: 36 acres

• Steel used:  791 tons 
• Brass used: 96 tons 
• Workmen employed: 425 
• Lifts: 2 (capacity of 15 people each) 
• A library has been set up in the pedestal below the statue

Library in the statue
A library has been set up in the pedestal below the statue. It includes Ambedkar's writings, material related to his history, books and pictures on key occasions. There is an audio visual room inside the building. Ambedkar's life features are presented in it.  

Memorial in 36 acres
The state government has allocated 36 acres next to the statue for Ambedkar's memorial. It includes rock garden, landscaping, plantation, water fountains, sandstone work. About 450 cars can be parked.
