What is emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence reflects the knowledge about self and awareness about the emotional patterns in a human being. A person who is able to understand himself as a person and determine his emotional patterns is known to have a sound emotional intelligence. It’s the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict. A connect with others is the result of a good EQ as it allows you to recognize and understand what others are experiencing emotionally.
